Starting with ROADKILL (Reel2Reel Films), an Australian thriller in which a petty highway robber crosses paths with a serial killer, with terrifying consequences....
Also from Australia is WRATH OF SOULS (Bulldog Films), in which a young man comes to regret taking a job at the local crematorium when supernatural shenanigans start kicking off...
MK ULTRA (High Fliers Films), stars Anson Mount and is about the CIA's covert experiments with LSD during the 1960s. As we mention in the review, LAST PODCAST ON THE LEFT did a great job of documenting the actual history - check out their ep 482.
Finally, Stephen Lang stars in OLD MAN (Plaion Pictures UK) - a cantankerous loner whose world is intruded upon by a lost hiker...
Our Short Shot is OATH OF HONOR - two brothers working as undercover cops clash when they are both involved in a drug bust gone wrong...
Finally - our DTV Throwback is TREMORS 2: AFTERSHOCKS. Fred Ward and Michael Gross return for this entertaining sequel. This is currently streaming on NETFLIX but for a limited time only....

This week Mike, Rich, Steve and Will take a look at six new films...
RESTART THE EARTH (Dazzler) is a Chinese blockbuster set after plants have become sentient and taken over the world - its certainly not The Happening!
BOON (101 Films) is an old fashioned and familiar tale about a stoic loner trying to keep out of trouble but who comes to the aid of a woman in need.
LITTLE BONE LODGE (Signature Entertainment) is a neat little thriller where a couple of crooks end up at a strange farm.
1915: LEGEND OF THE GURKHAS (High Fliers Films) is low budget dramatisation set during the First World War...
THE RESURRECTION OF CHARLES MANSON (The Movie Partnership) involves a young couple visiting a remote cabin in the desert, where not everything is as it seems....
KILLER KITES (Film Hub) may be the lowest budget film we've EVER reviewed and we kind of love it.
Our Short Shot is JO, a revenge western directed by the excellent Katherine Hughes, who also directed Happy Mart, which we covered in episode 232.
Our DTV Throwback is REVENGE OF THE GREEN DRAGONS - this is a period set, Asian gangs in New York story - no wonder it was co-produced by Martin Scorcese! This can be found free to stream (with ads ) on PLEX - click the link!

SAYEN (Amazon Prime) follows a young woman who comes home to her village in Chile only to find it under attack from rich land-grabbers looking to exploit their jungle. You can find this on Amazon Prime.
Our Short Shot is OTHERKIN - a young woman finally gets to meet her birth parents but finds they and their house are kind of creepy... click the link to watch the whole film.
Our DTV Throwback is GUNMEN - Christopher Lambert and Mario Van Peebles kind of team up to search for a huge amount of loot stolen from Patrick Steward, who sends Dennis Leary on their trail...You can find a very good print of this on YouTube - click the link to watch it!

THE LOCKSMITH is the second film this week to star Kate Bosworth - this time the focus is on Ryan Philippe as he tries to go straight after a prison sentence...
THE QUANTUM DEVIL is from the director of Girl Next, which divided the panel when we reviewed it last year. A small group of scientists are summoned to Eastern Europe to help finish off a quantum portal into another dimension...

In this episode Mike, Rich and Steve check out two new films....
First is COLONIALS (Reel 2 Reel Films), an independent sci-fi action movie which sees a recently-graduated cadet sent on a dangerous mission...to Earth!
Second is THE WALK (High Fliers Films) - set in 1974, this is a fictional take on Boston's enforced bussing policy to force its schools to become racially integrated, and some of the people that it affects.
Out Short Shot is KICKSTART MY HEART - a film we saw last year at Fighting Spirit Film Festival and are very happy to be able to share it with you here - click the link to see the whole film.
Our DTV Throwback is TIMEBOMB. Michael Beihn stars as a mild-mannered watchmaker who finds himself targeted by a shadowy organisation when he's shown in a tv news show. As this film is available on YouTube, click the link to watch the whole film!

As we had a light slate this week Mike, Rich and Steve decided to take a look at some recent films added to Netflix. As usual, clicking the links below will take you to a trailer for each film...
But we start with our only physical release of the week, RIPPER'S REVENGE (High Fliers). Director Steve Lawson is a prolific low-budget film-maker and impressed us with RIPPER UNTOLD and his other films have all been entertaining (The Mummy in particular). Will returning to spin a new tale around the Ripper murders be a success? Check out our review to find out!
Set in the lead-up to the 1988 Seoul Olympic Games, SEOUL VIBE (Netflix) finds a street-racing gang blackmailed by a well-meaning cop to go undercover as delivery drivers for a notorious loan shark.
KUTTEY (Netflix) is an Indian film about two corrupt cops who find themselves in hot water after being caught trying to assassinate a rival drug dealer and must come up with a more audacious heist in order to pay off the right people.
FURIES (Netflix) is a Prequel to Furie (In our review I was Adamant this was a sequel in name only, but i stand corrected!) Veronica Ngo takes over as director and proves to be a force to be reckoned with both in front and behind the camera.
Our Short Shot is LACKADAISY, an animated short about a trio of bootleggers during the prohibition set in New Orleans. Click the link to watch the whole short and please check out the other links on the page.
Our DTV Throwback is JARHEAD 3: The SIEGE (Netflix) - Universal 1440 are experts at delivering DTV Sequels to films which had originally received theatrical releases - such as Sniper, The Scorpion King and Death Race. This is directed by William Kaufman and co-stars Scott Adkins, so i need say no more!

V/H/S 99 (Shudder) is the latest in the anthology series - this one centering around a single tape which has been recorded over several times resulting in a series of stories set in 1999.
THE KILLER (CineAsia UK) is director Jae-Hoon Choi's long-awaited follow-up to The Swordsman, a film highly regarded around here! Can lightning strike twice? All the signs are good, including the return of Jang Hyuk as his lead!
Our Short Shot is SKIN AND BONE, in which a drifter has a bizarre time when he takes casual work on a secluded farm... click the link to watch the whole film!
Our DTV Throwback is SWELTER - Lennie James and Jean-Claude Van Damme costar in a sweaty modern western about an amnesiac sheriff, some escaped convicts and a hidden bag of loot. This film can be found on Amazon Prime.

CONDOR'S NEST (Icon Film Distribution) - don't be fooled by the generic artwork, this is a well-made thriller set after World War 2!
DEAD BRIDE (Trinity Creative) - An Italian horror movie in which a woman and her family are plagued by ghosts from her past!
THE POSSESSED (High Fliers Films) - An Australian horror movie in which John Jarret does his best to "clear" people of demonic spirits!
