This week Mike and Rich hunt down the long-awaited Netherlands creature feature, PREY (aka Prooi). Does it stand up to the anticipation built upon seeing the original trailer over a year ago? Take a listen to our review!
Our Short Shot this week is SKYWATCH, a film who's tech macguffin is so good and so prescient, I'm certain we'll be seeing a real-life counterpart in our future. This film contains a big star cameo, and its worth watching the follow-up film which shows how the director went about nabbing him.
Our DTV Throwback is D-WAR: DRAGON WARS, the Korean big budget special fx movie that co-stars Robert Forster. As tends to happen with this section, this is a film I hadn't seen (although was aware of it) - so how does it hold up? Tune in to find out!!!

This week Mike and Rich discuss a certain controversy surrounding Amazon Prime! before getting on with the main reviews, which this week are 5TH PASSENGER, starring actors from various incarnations of Star Trek, DEAD TRIGGER, based on a video game and starring Dolph Lundgren, ALL THE DEVIL'S MEN starring Mile (Son of Mel) Gibson and from the director of The Veteran, and we round off with one of NETFLIX's latest offerings, the Mads Mikkelsen starring POLAR. Our DTV throwback this week is INANIMATE, aka HARBINGER DOWN starring Lance Henriksen, and our Short short is the zombie movie, DEADZONE. Not only all that but we have a lot of trailers to look at in our Coming Soon section and we round off with the WASHING UP!

In our penultimate episode of 2018, Mike and Rich conduct another round-up of short films currently available, mostly for free (see below)! There is the creepy doll tale, THE DOLLMASTER, two shorts concerning THE MASK, taking things a lot darker and meaner than the Jim Carrey movie, a whimsical post-heist tale THE GETAWAY, the fx-laden THE 715th, a thoughtful romance/drama WINTER HILL, a fan-made version of UNCHARTED starring Nathan Fillion and a hardboiled action movie, NIGHT SHIFT.

This week Rich and Mike tackle two different films called GENESIS(albeit one of the full titles is Genesis: Fall of the Crime Empire) - two films with sci-fi themes but very different from each other! Not only that but Mike and Will take a look at a new Australian horror movie, OUT OF THE SHADOWS. Please excuse my voice this week folks - I lost my voice a few days before and was still pretty rough during the recording! I've managed to edit out most of the coughing but there's still some in there so please bear with me!
Anyhoo, this week we take a good hard look at Nicolas Cage, as he has had three movies out recently and we've rounded them up to take a gander. First up is THE HUMANITY BUREAU, a curious sci-fi action film with some nice anti-Trump nuggets here and there. Second we have the "based on a true story" movie 211, in with about-to-retire cop Nic Cage finds himself stumbling onto a quartet of very violent bank robbers. Finally we have MOM AND DAD, in which Cage co-stars with Selma Blair as a parents who find themselves overcome with the need to murder their children. Can this film help me overcome my aversion to anything directed by Brian Taylor (Crank/Gamer)? Tune in to find out.

With World Cup Fever raging on and about to come to a peak on Sunday night - our usual recording slot, Mike and Rich take advantage of the turmoil and take another look at the world of short films. This week we have a total of 12 shorts, coming to a total running time of approx 3hrs 51min between them. In this selection you will find PARTITIONED HEART and TO BE ALONE - two films which deal with a person going through the grieving process, 18, a film which harks back to the harrowinig Public Information adverts from the 70's and 80's, ROSE TIGER, in which a young girl wants to be like Bruce Lee, SWEET WATER and FTL, two fx-heavy sci-fi movies, HELLMEN OF AGENCY 9, a strange mix of sci-fi and political thriller, the thrilling animated TANK, and the first instalment of CASH: THE SERIES. Our final two films are the fan-film THE BROKEN GEAR (based on the FINAL FIGHT video game) and the wonderful BLINDSIDED: THE GAME.
